Early in 2025, I had the opportunity to join the Marketing Department at Cadence Bank, and my design role involves creative production in multiple areas of design, including:
- print (ads, fliers, letters, signage)
- digital (website ads, social media graphics, eBooks, email templates)
- presentation decks
- logos and icons
- simple motion graphics
- apparel graphics
Working inside of existing brand guidelines is an exciting challenge to incorporate the necessary colors, shapes, graphics and text into multiple types of collateral, at varying sizes, all while ensuring each unique piece looks like it still belongs to the overall family of Cadence Bank products.
A highlight in my time at Cadence was leading the Creative Direction on the logo for the new company intranet, as well as supporting artwork totaling 67 vector art icons, logos and graphics to highlight specific pages and sections. Simplifying sometimes complex subject matter down into small, yet easy to recognize icons, while also being mindful of line weight and color balance, was quite the challenge for this project, but one that I'm grateful for the opportunity to take on.

Cadence Bank's sponsorship of local schools, sports and events is extensive, and below is an ad series for high school football, along with various local ads, including jazz fest and a movie-themed shopping center promotion.

Many projects at Cadence Bank include one-sheets, where different lines of business are able to highlight relevant information for customers in the form of a printable or digital flier.

Because of the many types of platforms where Cadence Bank is able to reach their customers, I have been able to challenge myself by working in design mediums that I don't have as much professional experience in. While these ads are simple in layout and execution, it is still enjoyable to continue growing in different areas of design like motion graphics.
